Frequently Asked Questions

What is considered a young professional?

We consider young professionals to be those between the ages of 21 and 40 who are looking to launch or develop their careers. This includes college students, those who are established in career, who are looking to re-enter the workforce soon, and those who are looking to make a career or industry change.

Are events open to all ages?

Expert Labs and the Bend YP Summit are open to anyone who feels that they would benefit from the programming which includes those of all ages including those under the age of 21.

The YP Socials are targeted for those looking to network between the ages of 21 — 40.

How do I become a member?

If you are employed with a Bend Chamber Member, you will receive member pricing on Bend YP events.

You do not need to be a Chamber Member or sign up to attend events.

How do I get more involved with Bend YP?

The Bend YP Ambassador and Advisory Committee (AAC) helps to plan and execute our programs and events. If you are interested in volunteering on the AAC or at one of our events, please reach out and we will get you plugged in!

How can my organization support the program?

If you’re looking to sponsor or support Bend YP, there is a variety of ways to get involved!

In addition to hosting monthly Socials or sponsoring the Expert Labs or the YP Summit, you can always encourage young professionals in your employ to get involved with Bend YP to develop personally, professionally and civically. Email Louise Shirley to learn more!
